ACTAI Agent Exploits Langflow RCE to Automate Database Ransomware Attack

Sysdig's Threat Research Team documented what it assesses is the first fully AI-agent-driven ransomware operation, dubbed JADEPUFFER, in which a large language model autonomously chained a Langflow RCE vulnerability (CVE-2025-3248) with credential theft and database encryption against a production MySQL server. The attack underscores that the skill floor for ransomware has dropped to the cost of running an AI agent on stolen credentials.

ACTSharePoint RCE CVE-2026-45659 Added to CISA KEV After Active Exploitation

CISA added CVE-2026-45659, a CVSS 8.8 deserialization RCE in on-premises Microsoft SharePoint Server (Subscription Edition, 2019, and 2016), to its Known Exploited Vulnerabilities catalog after confirming active exploitation. Any authenticated attacker with only Site Member permissions can trigger the flaw; federal agencies were ordered to remediate by July 4, 2026.

PREPAREHackers Breached DHS Homeland Security Information Network (HSIN)

An unknown threat actor compromised the Department of Homeland Security's Homeland Security Information Network (HSIN) between late May and early June 2026, accessing sensitive but unclassified inter-agency coordination data including World Cup security planning. DHS confirmed no classified systems were affected but has not attributed the attack or confirmed the scope of data stolen.

PREPARECloudflare's New Policy Pushes AI Companies to Pay for Publishers' Content

Cloudflare announced that starting September 15, 2026, its default settings will block 'mixed-use' AI crawlers from any ad-supported pages across new and free-tier customer sites, forcing AI companies to separate training and agent crawlers from traditional search bots or lose access. Cloudflare is also evolving its Pay Per Crawl marketplace into a Pay Per Use model, compensating publishers when their content generates value in an AI response rather than merely when it is fetched.

PREPAREAmazon Launches New $1B FDE Org, Following OpenAI and Anthropic

AWS launched a $1 billion Forward Deployed Engineering (FDE) organization that embeds thousands of engineers directly inside enterprise customers to co-develop and deploy agentic AI production systems in days rather than months. AWS becomes the first major cloud hyperscaler to formalize this model, following similar FDE ventures by OpenAI ($4B) and Anthropic ($1.5B) earlier in 2026.

WATCHAnthropic's Responsible Scaling Policy

Anthropic published updates to its Responsible Scaling Policy (RSP), the company's framework for managing catastrophic risks from advancing AI capabilities, coinciding with the Fable 5 redeployment and jailbreak framework releases. The updated RSP version extends evaluation intervals to six months, adds Frontier Safety Roadmaps with detailed goals, and introduces periodic Risk Reports covering model capabilities and active mitigations.
