Our Journey to Excellence
At COGNOSCERE, we partner with clients to provide innovative and strategic information technology solutions for government agencies, specializing in the US Department of Defense and Federal markets. The providence of COGNOSCERE reflects two seminal perspectives as they relate to the information and computer industry. One perspective is from the late Richard Hamming, an advisor and teacher from the Naval Postgraduate School in Monterey, California. He offered some “recalibration” when presented with thesis information on faster processor architectures and their vast output of statistical data. Mr. Hamming pronounced “The purpose of computing is insight, not numbers”. This occurred on several occasions and the value has been proven over time. Another perspective is borne from years of leading and participating in teams and groups. The most successful groups review and assess their activities to align their actions toward achieving the desired results. This alignment of actions against the refined goal or mission was proven critical to producing impact and success. Team members, and individuals, must continually assess their actions against the known goal to ensure impact. In other words, their actions must be relevant to produce success. From these perspectives, COGNOSCERE holds these values central to our operations and success. In addition, COGNOSCERE operates on the basis of individual respect, collaboration of information and agile solutions methodology. COGNOSCERE was founded in 2007 and is a Service Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) and Small Disadvantaged Business (SDB) headquartered in the Jacksonville, Florida area with support offices in the Washington DC metro area and San Diego, California. We welcome visitors and have facilities and partners to support client off-sites and small conferences. The word COGNOSCERE is a LATIN term for “to know”. It can be pronounced “ko-nos-sair” or “cog-no-sair”.
